"I disagree but that is okay" or do not say anything at all
What does being “on task” look like during independent work?
staying focused on my own assignment, following directions, working quietly, using my time wisely, and asking for help if I need it instead of distracting others.
How can you help a classmate without giving them the answer?
Walk them through the problem, make them do it but walk them through how you got your answer
When is it okay to leave your seat during a lesson?
When okayed by Mrs. Miller. Give hand signals seen by the door.

setting a good example, following expectations, including others, helping classmates respectfully, using kind words, and making choices that help our classroom run smoothly.
What is the expectation for using classroom supplies and materials?
It stays in the table caddy in the cubbies, THEY DO NOT STAY IN YOUR DESK! Must get cleaned and organized daily

I should use my words to calmly tell them how I feel, try to solve the problem respectfully, and ask a trusted adult for help if it continues or feels unsafe.

I have the materials I need, understand what I’m supposed to do, can start my work right away, stay focused, and use my time wisely.
Why is it important that everyone feels safe and included in our classroom?
It’s important that everyone feels safe and included because students learn better when they feel comfortable, respected, and accepted. When everyone feels safe, we can share ideas, take risks, and work together as a community.
