What are some of the expectations that we have for group work?
When participating in group work, everyone is working at the same pace, working at an appropriate voice volume, doing an equal amount of work (not copying).
When should I use one of the three hand signals?
When I need to use the bathroom, when I have to sharpen my pencil, or when I need to get a drink of water.
How should we treat our specials teachers/any guest that we have in the room?
What should I do if I feel like I need to move my body around and I can't sit still?
I should ask Ms. Davis if I can take a walk.
What three things should I do BEFORE I ask Ms. Davis for help/ask her a question?
1. Think back to the directions that were given.

The best time to use the bathroom is before/after recess.
How do we line up when we leave the room?
We line up in line order, unless Ms. Davis says otherwise, quickly and quietly.

Getting a tissue, asking a question during a test/independent work time, sharpening pencil, going to bathroom, going to get a drink of water, following a direction from Ms. Davis. NOT chatting with friends!!!

Level 2: "Restaurant"
When is NOT an appropriate time to use a signal?
An inappropriate time would be when Ms. Davis is giving instructions or directions, during a spelling test, during any important activity.
What rules do we have about people leaving the room?
There should only one boy and one girl should be out of the room at a time, UNLESS there is an EMERGENCY. People should leave and enter back in quietly so they do not distract others.
I'm done with my work... Now what?
I should put it in the turn in bin UNLESS Ms. Davis says otherwise, and I should pull out a quiet reading book.
