When you are in this space, your voice level should be no louder than 2, you should finish quickly, and you should clean up all your trash before going to recess.
The cafeteria
Name the expectation: We have comp-sci at 2:25pm. It is 2:15pm and Ms. Natashia asks you to clean up and get ready to leave.
Follow directions the first time, every time
Name a possible consequence: You have an assessment tomorrow so you study your notes, have a healthy dinner, and get a good night’s rest.
You do really well on the test and get a good grade. You are proud of yourself.
You get two of these and must use them anytime you need a restroom/drink break during instruction

Name the expectation: We all have different likes, dislikes, and opinions. We may not all agree, but we can be respectful in how we share and show emotions.

Name a possible consequence: You want to get on the bus before everyone else so you run down the stairs at dismissal, even though there are other engineers on the stairs and in the hallway.
You end up hurting yourself or another person when you run down the stairs
You must clean these up and put them where they belong after every use and at the end of the day
supplies and chromebooks
You should always check this first if you have a question about the schedule, homework, events, or daily activities.
The agenda board
If you are working in a space outside of the classroom, you should always clean up when you are done and leave it this way.
Better than you found it
Name the expectation: An engineer pulls out their Pokemon cards while Ms. Natashia is giving a literacy lesson. Ms. Natashia takes them until May.
Keep personal items and technology at home
Name a possible consequence: You have homework to do but you decide to play video games instead
You get a zero on your homework and have to make it up during recess or study hall/club time.
You are only allowed to use this after Ms. Natashia has dismissed you. If you have it out without permission, you will lose it until your parents pick it up.
Cell phone
You should only use the one assigned to you and when and how Ms. Natashia says to use them. They are a learning tool, not a toy.
Chromebooks
When walking to a different classroom or group, you should always get there...
Quickly and quietly
Name the expectation: You should be mindful of your movements and never touch another person without consent.
Maintain safe bodies
Name a possible consequence: You say something unkind to another person “as a joke”
You hurt your relationship with a friend AND you get a conversation with Ms. Natashia AND you get a phone call home AND you possibly meet with the principal
You must have one of these every time you leave the classroom. If you do not have one, you will be sent back to class.
Hall pass
You may choose a new one of these every Monday, but you can't have the same one two weeks in a row. If you don't choose, or you fight, Ms. Natashia will choose for you.
Class jobs
You should NEVER be in the elevator without...

We have many different religious, racial, ethnic, learning, and gender identities in our class and school. This is a good thing and we must be respectful of those differences.
