Grading Rules
Can you turn in any late assignment from any time?
No. You must turn it in within the grade lock date for the quarter.
Do I need to complete the work that I missed?
Yes! You are responsible for all missing work.
Can Ms. N move me at any time?
Yes! If I am being a distraction to myself or others.
Are we allowed to leave the classroom before the chromebooks are put away?
Nope!
Where do backpacks go?
Outside on hooks.
Where in the room can you check your grades?
Chromebooks - Aeries - RTI with Ms. N
Where do I go in the room for my missing work?
The Absent Work Bin by the sink.
Can Ms. N move the seats or how she organizes students at any time?
Yes! She does it quite often too!
How are chromebook assigned? Can I just grab mine?
They are assigned by number by alphabetical last name. No, I cannot grab my chromebook without asking.
Can I have gum, food, and drinks in Ms. N's classroom?
Nope! Gum and food are not allowed - if you are caught with it, it is a strike.
Drinks (including big water bottles) must go in the drink Corner.
Does Ms. N grade over the weekend?
Nope!
When are my missing assignments due?
They are due as soon as they can be completed or before the end of the quarter lock date.
Which students typically get to choose where they sit?
Students with A's and B's can choose where they sit.
Number up, number facing outwards, plugged in.
How do I sign out to go to the bathroom?
I sign out using my number with 5-Star.
When do grades lock? Can I submit assignments past the lock date?
At the end of very quarter. No, you cannot submit assignments past the lock date.
I need help with my missing assignments - where and who can I go to for help?
Ms. N and I can go to her lunch or RTI.
Does Ms. N have a seating chart? What is the current seating chart set up?
Yes! She organizes us by having us pick a card that matches with a colored paper lantern.
Where can I get a pencil and am I responsible for it?
I can get a pencil from the pencil pouch (my number!) but I need to turn in the pencil at the end of the period. Ms. N does not replace the pencils until the new month.
If you score less than 50% on an assessment Ms. N will put a 50% in the gradebook and tell you to retake the assessment after relearning.
If I am absent on a test or assessment day, do I have to make up that assessment?
Yes! You must come into an RTI to take it or study beforehand.
What three types of classroom layouts does Ms. N like to use for seating?
Table groups, rows, or a big U shape!
If something happens to my assigned Chromebook, like it gets knocked off of the table, am I still responsible for it?
Yep! Your name will be sent to Ms. Kendra in the library and you will have to figure it out with her.
If I leave papers on the floor, I can just come get them tomorrow - it's fine!
Wrong! Any papers that are left on the floor will be thrown away.
