We rotate PE and Music classes every other week. One week of Music followed by one week of PE.

Detention before or after school for 15 mintues.

May my child bring birthday invitations and birthday treats to school?
Students are not allowed to bring invitations of any kind to school to pass out. Students may bring birthday treats to share with their classmates. Treats must be store bought, may not contain peanuts or/and peanut buttter, and must have an ingredient label on the package.

Will students need to make up work that they miss due to an absence?
Yes. If I am notified ahead of time I will be able to gather materials that they are able to complete at home.

Will Ms. Poole be teaching my child science all year?

What is the name of the behavior plan adopted by Upchurch?
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) It is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.

What exactly is a "reminder"?
A "reminder" is just that, a reminder! A reminder is given by myself or other staff members regarding what school and classroom expectations should be at Upchurch. This is an opportunity for the student to correct their mistake and reflect on how they will be able to make a better choice next time.
