That is how the LRCs get their funding. If we can't prove to the state that students are using our resources, we cannot continue to provide them at the same level.

ASAP! Priority deadlines for financial aid are March 2nd.

Do counselors offer personal/crisis counseling?
Yes! Counselors can help refer students to programs to help them with personal issues that effect their academic career. They can also provide short term therapy and refer students to other professionals to give them long-term help, all while giving them support in insecurities and struggles.

Who qualifies for DSP&S?
Students who have one or more of the following: Acquired Brain Injury Developmentally Delayed Health Impairments (cardiac, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, etc.) Hearing Impairments Learning disabilities Mobility impairments Psychological disabilities Speech disabilities Visual impairments Temporary Disabilities lasting 45 days or longer. (broken bones, surgical recovery, etc.)

How often and for how long are SI sessions held?
They are held twice a week for 50 minutes each.

Who makes up a majority of the tutors in the LRC?
Your peers! Most of the tutors are students who understand what you are also going through as a student. We have the same finals, teachers, and other life stresses as you do!

What are the two scholarly requirements for FAFSA?
Maintaining a 2.0 GPA and being enrolled in at least 6 semester units.

When is an appointment needed?
When you need an educational plan or transcripts from another college/university.

SI is geared towards classes that are notoriously difficult and that have high failure or withdrawal rates.

Should you file for FAFSA and the BOG waiver, even if you do not think you qualify?
Yes! Never limit your resources just because they require some paperwork.
