We must believe in the previous books that were sent by Allah but we believe they have been changed and are not preserved. The Quran has been protected by Allah and will not be changed.

Why is knowing the seerah(life) of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم important in doing Tadabbur?
Because the Quran was revealed in his life due to things that were happening in it. If we know the seeah we will know why an ayah came down and what it's about. If we know the battle of Uhud, we will know the ayahs relating to that and know why it came down and feel connected as if we are there.

In Surah Fatiha, Allah tells us that He the owner and bestower of mercy, and that He is the most merciful, and right after the ayah He reminds us that He is the master and owner of the day of judgment. What is the reason for this?
We are told that He is the most Merciful but this does not mean that we can disobey Him and think He will forgive us as we sin. This is so that we know we will be held accountable on the day of judgment and should not just depend on His mercy and continue sinning thinking we will not be punished.

Hadith is anything that is authentically proven that Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said,did,consented to(allowed)and his characteristics/etqieuttes.

Madd means elongation,or making something long. If the rule of Madd applies, the letter must be read long with its appropriate length. If there is a hamza after ا , و , ي it must me be elongated(or made long) into 3-4-6 beats.
