Has same function to help latissimus dorsi: extend arm at shoulder, adducts arm and rotates arm medially

flexes the head; moves head closer to chest

What pectoralis minor
Pulls scapula anteriorly (protracts) and rotates scapula; often called boxer's muscle since it enables punching
