TRUE/FALSE
Exercising/warm ups helps to strengthen your voice/vocal cords - just like going to the gym can strengthen the rest of your body. Warming up/exercising our voice/breath regularly prevents injury and helps prepare our voice.
True! You must work on your vocal agility/strength/stamina and build it slowly. It CAN be improved and is so good for you! Strengthen those voices!!
TRUE/FALSE?
It is important to warm up your voice before you start singing/acting rehearsals every single time.
TRUE!
Especially if you are acting and using your voice for a long period of time OR having to raise your voice for anything (Beast; we're looking at you). Never forget your warm ups! Don't hurt your voice - it can be difficult/take lots of time to recover from a vocal injury.
What happens if you strain your voice and push too hard?
You can damage your vocal cords.
What is vocal range?
The lowest to highest notes you can sing comfortably. (Vocal range can be improved with practice)!

If a note feels strained, you should...
Stop.
Return to a comfortable pitch if you can. Never go past the edge of your voice! Train your edge instead!

Breathing exercises with 'ha' sound.
Not good!!
It causes your vocal cords to tense, squeeze together tightly and vibrate in an unnatural way - can cause strain, inflammation and dryness. If you're losing your voice - do not whisper and do not clear your throat.
Why is caffeine and sugar unhelpful for singing?
They dry out the throat - affecting your breath control and stability!
