On November 6th, 2014, Microsoft acquired Mojang Studios for 2.5 billion dollars. Microsoft has helped develop mobile and console versions of Minecraft and was referred to as the "bedrock edition" of Minecraft whenever a console/mobile port got released (Example being PS3 version, Switch Version, or Xbox 360 Version, all being referred to as bedrock edition when released). This acquisition has been heavily criticized, however by fans complaining how one of the biggest gaming companies in the world has been releasing lackluster updates)

The term Bedrock edition was never officially used until June 7th, 2022 so earlier console versions of Minecraft were not referred to as Bedrock Edition when released

Along with Nether Fortresses, Bastions are the only other building like structure within the Nether. These run-down buildings house Piglins and their more aggressive counterparts, Piglin Brutes. They hold exclusive items/features such as magma cube spawners and gilded blackstone. These structures are especially important towards endgame Minecraft, for they are the only place to get Netherite smithing templates, which allow the player to upgrade their tools to Netherite. The different parts of this structure are called; The bridge, Hoglin Stables, Housing Units, and Treasure Room (guaranteed Netherite Smithing Template)

They are called Bastion Remnants

April Fools jokes have become a tradition for Minecraft, where every year since 2010, some sort of tomfoolery has occurred. This was as simple as Notch saying there will be a "4D edition" of Minecraft in 2010 or as elaborate as creating near-infinite amounts of dimensions in 2020. Features found in these April Fools versions have made it into future updates such as blocks of coal or customized world generation

There was not an april fools related anything in 2012
