What is equipment?

Resin and polymer powder-based system in which resin absorbs the powder to create a hard coating over the nail.
What is a dip system?
Prolonged, repeated, or long-term exposure that can cause sensitivity.
What is overexposure?
The step after sanitizing yours and the client's hands during a state board manicure.
What is removing the polish?
Nutritive fluid circulating through the circulatory system.
What is blood?
Product designed to smooth and soften thickened skin. Improper use can be highly damaging and result in permanent injury to the client.
What is callus softener?
The FDA says NOT TO USE IT!!
What is MMA?
Formed when liquids evaporate into the air.
What is vapor?
The main ingredient in nail polish remover.
What is acetone?
Breathing in through the nose and mouth.
What is inhalation?
The client should not do this less than 48 hours before receiving a pedicure service.
What is shave their legs?
Used on the natural nail plate prior to product application to assist in adhesion. Can contain acid.
What is primer?
Also known as curing or hardening; a chemical reaction that creates polymers.
What is polymerization?
Gel polishes that combine the best of both worlds.
What are hybrid gels?
Part of the central nervous system contained in the cranium; the largest and most complex nerve tissue; controls sensation, muscles, gland activity, and the power to think and feel emotions.
What is the brain?
A unique method of applying pressure to specific points on the hands and feet with the thumb and index fingers that promote health benefits to specific parts of the body.
What is reflexology?
The amount of monomer liquid and polymer powder used to create a bead.
What is "mix ratio"?
Ingredients that use heat as an energy source for starting chemical reactions, such as polymerizing monomers into polymer.
