What is the difference between underglaze and overglaze?
Underglaze does not have a melting agent, so it does not undergo a chemical change when fired. These are not food safe on their own.
Overglaze has a melting agent, so it goes through a chemical reaction when fired. It has a glassy/glossy finish.
