What is The phrase “seeing is believing” comes from the story of “Eros and Psyche”. Psyche had a difficult time not being able to see her husband, Eros, that she went to him in the night when she wasn’t supposed to. She brought a candle, and the wax from the candle spilled on Eros’ shoulder, and he woke up. She needed to see Eros to believe that he was really her husband and not a monster.
