This insects lives in trees and uses it's the shape of its body in order to camoflauge itself against predators. These amazing insects can re-grow their limbs if one gets lost in a fight and the largest one ever found holds the record for longest insect in the world of over 14 inches!
Walking Stick or Stick Insect
This ariel acrobat is the smallest flying mammal on Earth. It is nocturnal and lives in caves in Thailand. It has fur, a hog-shaped nose, large ears, strong claws, and wings that let it hover. Its body is no larger than a bumbulbee, hence its name.
Bumbuleee Bat
Sadly, this bird, the tallest bird in North America, is an endangered species, named for its “whooping” calls.
Whooping Crane
These parasites are carnivorous worms that can live in water or on land. They have a suction-cup with a mouth on their "head" and like to suck blood from fish, frogs, lizards, birds or, if they get the chance, larger animals like humans.
Leeches
These flightless birds lay the largest eggs on the planet. They don't have any teeth so they swallow small rocks to crush-up the grass, plants, fruits, flowers, seeds, insects and reptiles they like to eat.
Ostriches
This aquatic camouflage expert is technically a fish, even though it doesn't look like one. Unfortunately, these cute creatures are on the endangered species list because of water pollution and the bleaching of coral reefs due to the warming of the ocean.

Plankton
Once thought extinct, an isolated population of endangered animals was discovered. Eighteen of these playful mammals were caught to establish a breeding colony. Now, approximately 300 of these animals call the prairie's of Colorado home.
Black Footed Ferret
These creepy creatures are in the arachnid family which also includes mites, spiders, and scorpions. This 8-legged parasite attaches itself to the skin of an animal (sometimes burrowing underneath the skin) and sucks its blood for food.
This living Dinosaur is the largest reptile on Earth. They have over 50 jagged teeth and the greatest bite pressure of any animal in the world. They communicate using several sounds, including barking, hissing, growling and chirps.
Saltwater Crocodile
Almost all species of this reptile are found in Madagascar. These reptiles have super-sticky tounges and can move their eyes separately, with each eye having a field of 180 degrees. This means they can see 360 degrees if they need to! These reptiles change their colour due to a number of different factors, including their mood, changes in light or temperature, or the humidity of their environment.
Chameleon
These are the smallest of all living organisms on Earth. They usually live in colonies and reproduce extremely quickly. They’re found everywhere, in the ocean, in clouds, on mountaintops, on living things, and even on dead things. They are made of one cell. The cell contains the DNA, which is sort of like a computer program.
