Does stress affect mental health symptoms?

Yes, stress can trigger the onset of symptoms, or make them worse.  There is no such thing as a stress free life, so you can't completely avoid stress.  But, it is helpful to be aware of times when a person is under stress and to learn strategies for coping with it.
