CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
What I do when I get into the classroom.
What is be quiet, be respectful, sit in my assigned seat, read the board for materials I need, start my bellringer.
This is what dismisses you at the end of class.
The teacher
If we have a scheduled fire drill (or a VERIFIED EMERGENCY), this is the place you are supposed to evacuate with your class to.

This will be taken to the administration office and will need to be picked up by a parent if used during class.
What is a cellphone (including headphones/ear buds) (unless given permission by Mrs. Larsen)

The type of response that we bring everyone in from the hallways, close the door, lock the door, and continue learning as usual.
What is a hall check?
This is where Mrs. Larsen went to high school.
What is Minico High School?
You can have this in small portions, closed containers, and you have to clean up all your messes.
What is food, snacks, drinks, etc. (Nothing you have to eat with a utensil or dishes...) (may not distract the class or cause my room to stink!)
Let Mrs. Larsen know at least a few days in advance, try to do my work before the day I will be gone, and ask a student in the class what I missed when I get back.
What is what do I do if I am going to be absent?
These are things we ABSOLUTELY DO NOT touch unless Mrs. Larsen gives us permission and is nearby to supervise.
What are the skeletons, models of any kind, anything in closets or drawers, posters, things on the wall, dry erase markers, light switches, Mrs. Larsen fridge or desk or computer or chair, etc?
Aside from hanging out with her family, these are things Mrs. Larsen's loves to do whenever she can get away.
What is hiking, camping, snow skiing, boating, snowmobiling, riding horses, gardening, fly fishing.
What is stapler, lined paper, blank paper, tissues, hand sanitizer, tape, etc?

This is when the school is faced with an active threat on campus. We stay quiet, listen to what's going on all around us, stay calm, and make smart decision about the best way to stay safe.

What is walk in quietly, put my excuse slip on Mrs. Larsens desk, sit in my seat and quietly begin taking part in the current task/lesson. I will catch up on what I missed by asking my neighbor or Mrs. Larsen after class.
