What is the bullpen?
A camping trip for all 9th grade students that is part of our experiential learning program.
What is Freshman Orientation?
The teacher who is the "go to" person for a given student and that student's family. He or she runs the family conferences and serves as a mentor.
Who is the advisor?
The office that makes it rain money (and that keeps in touch with our alums).
What is IA (Institutional Advancement)?
This event takes place in the fall and it involves bringing a nationally recognized artist to campus to have a gallery showing and to work with our students.
What is ARTworks?
The central gathering area in the Upper School where the community has morning meeting.
What is the Barnard Commons?
A weekend with two social events in the spring: a kickoff cookout with a powerderpuff football game and a formal dance.
What is Dutch Weekend?
The person who guides students through the college process.
Who is the College Counselor?
The association of private schools in this region of the country, including 81 schools.

The four areas of student life that we commit to focusing on as a school.
What are the 4 A's (Academics, Athletics, Arts, and Atmosphere)?
The place where students eat lunch.
What is the Tandy Wellness Center?
An event that is like a carnival in the fall - Upper school student organizations put on games at booths for the younger students.
What is Field Day?
A student who has attended Holland Hall since first grade (or before).
Who is a lifer?
The athletic and activities association of which we are a member.
What is the OSSAA (Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association)?
The learning management system used by all teachers on campus to communicate about activities, assignments, and grades in their classes.
What is PowerSchool Learning?
A popular meeting space on campus for all branches, located on the south end of the middle school.
What is the Alumni Center?
A fundraising event held in the spring for alums and parents.
What is the Auction?
A group composed of elected students and faculty who meet with a student if there has been a major violation of school rules.
What is the honor council?
This place is also known as The Duenner Family Science, Mathematics, and Technology Center and it is located on the south end of the Upper School.
What is the SMT (Science, Mathematics, and technology)?
The name of the right seniors have to leave campus for up to 6 mods during their unscheduled time during the day.
What are privileges?
The two theaters on campus, one much larger than the other.
What are the Black Box (Newman Theater) and the Branch Theater?
A longstanding tradition (this will be our 59th one!) that is run by volunteers on a Saturday in February. It is both a friend-raiser and a fund-raiser.
What is the Book Fair?
A group of parents with representatives for each grade who support the work of the school.
What is the Parent Council?
This building houses all of the arts classes as well as the performance spaces.
What is the WAC (Walter Arts Center)?
The Holland Hall yearbook - the title references the size of the first campus that was located in midtown before the school moved out south.
