  • Rehires are eligible for reimbursement if the credential was obtained/renewed within 9 months of their employment. 

  • New Hires are eligible for reimbursement if the credential was obtained/renewed while employed by Intuit and after they hit their 45 day mark of employment.

What are the 4 Tax Associate Cohorts? (Do not tell candidates they are in a cohort. If they pass the HV, they will be offered a regular TA role)

  • TA: 2 Years Unpaid/30 returns (Friends & Family)

  • TA: 2 Years Paid/15 returns

  • TA: 1 Year paid/30 returns (Direct to IA first, if they decline, send them to HV)

  • TA: Tax Experience/Volunteer (IRS, VITA/Volunteer, Tax Manager, Tax Standards)

  • Encourage them to take IA for the learning experience, but do not tell them it will guarantee them a job (it's a possibility!)

No, there is currently an error with the lead form. Everyone is coming in as Tax Associates, be aware when asking about credentials. Double check & go slow: make sure to change the role in the dropdown at the bottom, before passing the PS.

  • Pay is based on the state of residence/their role. 

  • Bonus factors: customer feedback, issue resolution, peak hours worked, season completion.

No more 6 month waiting period - everyone starts with a clean slate on a 2025 req.

What is SmartLook? Is video required? Dress code?

  • SmartLook is a tool that allows agents to use video and screen sharing to assist customers. 

  • Yes, agents will be on video most of the time during their scheduled shifts. 

  • Dress code: Dress shirts with a collar and sleeves, and no logos. Business Casual.

There are 13 special states for Tax Experts, and they are: Alabama, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, and for State Mismatch situations.

What should you ALWAYS check in 2.0 when a candidate completes their own PS & appears in your Interview funnel?

  • Job history: They can bypass this in 2.0 if a resume is uploaded. Look at the resume, make sure there’s good tax experience info in there & leave a note for the HV team that says “resume attached”

  • If resume is NOT good and No Job History filled: Follow up with candidate to retrieve this info & make notes in 2.0 for the HV team so they know you’re reaching out or upload a separate document naming it “Updated job history”.
