3.3.5 Academic Educational Services
Care providers must conduct an educational assessment within 72-hours of an unaccompanied alien child’s admission into the facility in order to determine the academic level of the child and any particular needs they may have. Care providers must provide educational services based on the individual academic development, literacy level, and linguistic ability of each unaccompanied alien child

Children in ORR legal custody receive a Know Your Rights (KYR) presentation (in-person, telephonic, or video presentation) within ten (10) business days of admission to an ORR care provider facility9, within ten (10) business days of a child’s transfer to ORR facility (except ORR Long-Term Foster Care or ORR Transitional Foster Care), and every six (6) months for unrepresented children who remain in ORR custody, as practicable.
