Students must choose one of the options, or Ms. Mar will give you extra work. It should be quiet, and teachers should not have to remind students more than once of their options.

Always be looking around to make sure you are not in the way; say "excuse me" or "sorry"; make sure the other person is okay

When using my 100s chart, if you am SUBTRACTING (minus) should my numbers get bigger or smaller? So should you move to the right or to the left?

Subtracting means answer should be smaller. So you should move to the left.

Take responsibility for your actions and belongings; manage your assignments; work well with your peers; ask for help only when I need it

When we are moving from our class to a specials class or lunch, what should our class look like and sound like?

The class should sound quiet and calm, everyone is organizing their materials, and and patiently waiting to be called to line up. In line, you are facing the door, keeping space between the person in front of you, and a bubble in your mouth.

Who can sit at the calm corner? How should it be used?

For mindfulness, whoever Ms. Mar says. There is a list of names in the corner that I go by.

During class, anyone else can sit with permission, after you have done some work with effort. 

Sit calmly, quietly, and safely IN THE CORNER. If you are being loud, distracting, or making unsafe choices, you will be asked to move.

It's the calm corner, not the crazy corner!

When Ms. Mar tells us to turn and talk to our partner, what should the class look and sound like?

partners facing each other, decide who goes first, first person speaks while the other person listens, switch. 

Conversations should be on topic. If you finish talking early, practice sharing in front of the class in case Ms. Mar calls on you.
