Stars are giant masses of hot gas – mostly hydrogen, with some helium and small amounts of other elements. Every star has its own life cycle, ranging from a few million to trillions of years. Stars form in large clouds of gas and dust called molecular clouds. Molecular clouds are cold which causes gas to clump, creating high-density pockets. Eventually, gravity causes some of these clumps to collapse. When this happens, friction causes the material to heat up, which eventually leads to the development of a protostar – a baby star.

Why did the author write this paragraph?

Last Saturday, I woke up to find my dog, Max, wearing my sunglasses and sitting at the breakfast table like a person. He had somehow opened the cereal box and was trying to pour himself a bowl—without thumbs! When I walked in, he gave me a look that said, “Don’t judge me, I’m hungry.” I couldn’t stop laughing as cereal spilled everywhere and Max wagged his tail proudly, as if he’d just cooked a five-star meal. It was the funniest morning ever—and I’m pretty sure Max thinks he’s human now!

You should always recycle because it helps keep our planet clean and healthy. When we recycle, we turn old things like paper, plastic, and cans into new items instead of throwing them away. This means less trash in landfills and less pollution in the air and water. Recycling also saves energy and helps protect animals that might be harmed by waste. If everyone does their part, we can make the Earth a better place to live—for us and for future generations!
