What is/are model, mentor, monitor?
A test that assesses a student's skill level in the subjects of math and reading.
What is the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education)?
The student will leave Job Corps with the personal skills, attributes and behaviors that foster confidence and drive for life-long growth.
What is personal growth and development?
This is created when a student completes all 30 lessons in MyPACE.
What is the Career Pathway Plan (Career Plan)?
This North Texas Job Corps trade teaches students how to protect and enforce laws on an employer’s property, how to monitor alarms and closed-circuit TV cameras, how to conduct security checks over a specified area, how to write reports that outline what has been observed while on patrol, how to interview witnesses for later court testimony., and how to detain criminal violators.
What is security and protective services?
The student will leave Job Corps with the ability to
interpret and evaluate data, organize and maintain information, and use technology to perform work.
What is information management?
Specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-based goal setting.
What is/are SMART goals?
The student will leave Job Corps capable of finding, managing and utilizing the resources needed to maintain employment, satisfy physical and emotional needs, and lead a productive life as an independent adult.
What is independent living?
Achievement, independence, recognition, relationships, support, and working conditions are examples of these.
What is/are work values?
The two healthcare trades offered at North Texas Job Corps.
What are CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and CMA (Certified Medical Assistant).
Students that test positive for drugs upon arrival are required to take part in this program.
What is TEAP (Trainee Employee Assistance Program)?
Job Corps uses this online platform to provide their career planning curriculum.
What is MyPACE (My Pathway to Achieving Career Excellence)?
The student will leave Job Corps with the ability to get along with others and adjust to a variety of social and professional situations.
What is interpersonal skills?
Advanced training, college and the Job Corps ACT program, apprenticeship, armed services, and entry-level job are the five choices for this.
What is the Placement Pathway?
This North Texas Job Corps trade offers skills for those who want to work in restaurants, cafeterias, at catering services, or in the food services departments at schools or hospitals.
What is culinary arts?
The student will leave Job Corps with a personal plan that outlines a step-by-step process for entering and advancing in a fulfilling career.
What is career and personal planning?
An umbrella of services leading to employment that includes Outreach and Admissions, Career Preparation Period, Career Development Period, and Career Transition Period.
What is CDSS (Career Development Service System)?
The student will leave Job Corps with the ability to productively interact with co-workers and deal with problems and situations with honesty, integrity, and responsibility.
What is workplace relationships and ethics?
Achievement/effort, adaptability/flexibility, analytical thinking, attention to detail, concern for others, cooperation, dependability, independence, initiative, innovation, integrity, leadership, persistence, self-control, social orientation, and stress tolerance are examples of these.

This trade, offered at North Texas Job Corps, combines skills in bricklaying, carpentry, and cement masonry with repair and landscaping skills.
What is BCT (Building Construction Technology)?
This is based on attendance, behavior, and evaluations from instructors, teachers, and dorms.
