Shaw Avenue Elementary School has been recognized for this notable designation by the U.S. Department of Education. A designation which only 286 schools throughout the country and one of only 18 schools in New York State to be granted that year. The award is based on the school’s overall academic excellence or progress in improving student academic achievement.

This competition was held to raise funds for a cause. In turn it caused a lot of laughter and fun when Administrators, teachers and staff got a chance to perform for the school.

This event is usually held on a Friday during last week of October. The large gym is transformed into an amazing experience of fun, food and family and just the right amount of Spook. This year it will be on October 25th.
