Throughout October, Resident Assistant (RA) [Name] created an amazing environment for the residents at [Residence Hall] and held some spectacular programming. Since August they have always been a team player, teaching newer RAs more insight regarding the role and answering questions they may not have been comfortable asking the Building Leadership Team. At the end of September, RA [Name] did an event entitled “Pumpkins Slayage” where residents could carve out pumpkins in preparation for the harvest season.  In October, RA [Name] did an amazing job as a first-year RA, creating events that connected students to future career opportunities like an Internship Panel and an “Understanding Your Major” event as well. RA [Name] plans on hosting many more events in November, including another Internship Panel and an event dedicated to learning more about Native American History. With such bright ideas and an amazing personality, RA [Name] truly deserves every bit of recognition they receive, and they should be proud of themselves for all the work they have done.

This OTM serves to talk about Resident Assistant (RA) [Name] from [Residence Hall], who is *obsessed* with Beyonce. During their “Cozy Cafe” event, a resident said “Might I suggest you don't mess with my sis” because of how fierce RA [Name] is. I’m not gonna lie, they are my favorite RA on the team, as they did so many events during December. On top of the Cozy Cafe, they did a “JOLLYSANCE” event to keep the holiday spirits up and even did a collab event with RA [Name] from [Residence Hall] (who is *obsessed* with Nicki Minaj) entitled “Jingle Myself,” taking residents out to WSP (Washington Square Park) to singing holiday carols. I went to the event, and it highkey was a lot of fun I’m not gonna lie like those people in the park were gagged. Me personally, I think of RA [Name] like an older sibling, and they slay every opportunity they get! Like it’s so over for the other nominees, because RA [Name] will 100% win this category.

[Residence Hall] Mario Kart Tournament was held on the afternoon of April 10th. The event was organized by two RAs at [Residence Hall], who spent weeks promoting the event with creative advertising, tabling in the lobby with snacks and Mario Kart trivia questions to drum up excitement about the tournament. For the event, the [Residence Hall] lounge was decorated with checkered flags and red streamers, and attendees were served pizza and soda as the tournament began. In total there were over 25 attendees, and after a fierce competition, winners were announced and awards were presented. The event was a massive success—attendance was much higher than expected, and many residents expressed how much fun they had at the event and asked for a similar tournament to be organized again in the future.

Faculty Fellow in Residence (FFIR) #1 has gone above and beyond during the month of October. In just one month, they held three separate events for [Residence Hall] residents: Chinatown Crawl, Biking Around Central Park, and a Halloween Fright Night. Each of these events had over 20 attendees, which is especially impressive considering that many students were also in the middle of midterm season during October. The high attendence of all of their events shows how FFIR #1 genuinely considers residents’ interests, shaping their events around them and ensuring that their programming is always resident-centric.
