Characteristics of good communication involves respect, trust, honesty, empathy, sensitivity, humor, knowledge, patience, commitment, and self-esteem.

Define non maleficence

Non maleficence is first do no harm. Examples: Checking the water temperature before giving a patient a shower. Returning the bed to the lowest position after performing care. Six rights of med administration.

Beneficence means to do good. Examples: Put the client's interest first- giving hand off before leaving.If you make a med error- report it immediately and be accountable. Going to work sick and infecting everyone.

Autonomy is being free to choose. Respecting a client's right to choose a course of action and independence. Client's must be well informed to make decisions.
