A NYPIUA benefit that allows employees to receive benefits covering "Well Vision Exams", eye glass frames and lenses and/or contact lenses
What is Vision Insurance (Through VSP- Vision Services Plan) currently
These are benefits that NYPIUA employees can receive each year, or subject to an age-based schedule that include health services such as:
Annual check-ups, Flu Shots, Mammograms, Colonoscopies, Vaccinations, and other screenings

What is Delta Dental of Indiana
This is a benefit for NYPIUA purchases for employees at no cost to them, which pays a benefit to a beneficiary in the event of an employee death
What is Life Insurance
A specified amount of money that the covered NYPIUA employee/spouse/dependent must pay before the insurance company will pay the claim/benefits
($0 for the EPO Low/Core Plan, $0 for the PPO High/Buy-Up Plan In-Network, $2,000/$4,000 for the PPO High/Buy-Up Plan Out-Of-Network)
What is a deductible
The number of days of paid vacation time NYPIUA employees receive in their first year of service
What is 10
An employee benefit that allows employees to save in income tax by setting aside money (pre-tax) to be used for either medical expenses or dependent care expenses
What is an FSA (Flexible Spending Account) Plan
This is the limit on the dollar-for-dollar match that NYPIUA provides to employees for their 401(k) account
