What is the Child Support Award Guidelines?
Income determined by recent full-time earnings, job skills and qualifications, available local job opportunities
What is potential income or earning potential?
Each party has custody of at least one child
What is split custody?
Childcare expenses incurred while either parent is receiving job training or education necessary to obtain employment or enhance earning potential
What is reasonable childcare expenses?
An amount not to exceed 3% of the NCP's gross income
What is cash medical support?
Used to calculate support when a party has sole custody, physical custody, joint custody, or sole custody
What is the CSE 330 or Obligation Worksheet A?
Income for both the CP and NCP obtained from pay stubs, tax returns, CSE 206, LWC, WorkNumber, or employer letters
What is actual income?
Custody assigned to only one party
What is sole custody?
An order that was established or in existence for a child or ex-spouse, not a party to the current proceedings, prior to the established date of current order
What is a pre-existing child/spousal order?
Objective evaluation of information necessary to apply child support guidelines to determine if a case should be forwarded to the court for a judicial decision
What is a review?
Gross income minus amounts for pre-existing child support or pre-existing spousal support
What is adjusted gross income?
Income assigned when a party has missing income with no evidence of Actual Income or Potential Income or Earning Potential
What is minimum wage x 32 hrs?
Custody where one parent is the domiciliary parent, but court has granted custody to both parents
What is joint custody?
Actual amount paid by either parent to enroll or maintain a child in a health benefits plan
What is health insurance premiums?
Change in the existing child support award of at least 25% either upward or downward when the guidelines are applied
What is a material change in circumstances?
Made by either party for childcare costs, health insurance premiums, extraordinary medical expenses, extraordinary expenses, added to the basic child support obligation and credited to the party who paid the expense
What is direct payments?
Can be used to collect financial information when parents are not cooperating with providing the requested information
Physical custody of the child with each parent for an approximately equal amount of time
What is shared custody?
Method used to determine basic child support obligation if the combined adjusted gross income of the parties falls between two amounts on the child support obligation schedule
What is extrapolation?
Verifiable and reliable evidence to substantiate the NCP's earnings, income, assets, and/or resources available for the NCP to comply with all or some portion of the amount due under a child support judgment.
What is ability to pay?
Monthly adjusted gross income of each party divided by the combined adjusted gross income of the parties
