No, you must read RTE response and validate it is ok to check-in.
What is the duration of a New Patient visit?
New Patient appointment = 45minutes
If we run Medi-cal do, we scan in the eligibility?
Yes
(Form Pick-Up Process) If a patient or parent/legal guardian walks into the office to drop off a form, what should you ask them?
"Will you be picking up this form yourself, or would you like to designate someone to pick it up on your behalf if you are unable to do so?"
Patient has Medicare Part A and Part B, but the RTE response indicates a Medicare Replacement Plan was identified. What should you do?
Inform the patient that a Medicare Replacement Plan has been identified. Ask which plan they are currently enrolled in, obtain the insurance information, update it in Epic, and then proceed with the check-in process.
When do you schedule a TOC visit?
For established Rheum patient (seen within last 3 yrs) transferring care.
Can a patient Establish Care with NP?
No. (New Patients can be scheduled with them but not to establish care.)
Who can pick up forms?
Forms may only be released to an individual whose name is specifically documented as a designated pick-up person in the telephone encounter.
Patient has Preferred IPA insurance. How do you enter it into Epic?

If an HMO patient has not had any changes to their insurance and is requesting a transfer of care (TOC) to another provider, is a new referral required?
