What is the hand signal for water? For bathroom? How do you sign out? How often can you leave? How many people can leave at once?

W = water, fingers crossed = bathroom. Just sign out with your name, grade, and time and take a clip. Only one person out of the room at a time.

A 4-week long cycle of literacy class where we all read the same book in a specific genre and do interesting activities tied to the book.

You missed a day of class. What should you do?

1) Try to get into the habit of emailing your teacher that you'll be gone if you can! My email is kelly@odysseydenver.org.

2) Check the "Absent Work" for the day you missed and there should be information for you.

Use common sense and remember that other classes may be in class when you are in the hall. Speak quietly (whisper voice), walk calmly, and use self-awareness.

Traveled to Guatemala & Colombia, spent time with family & friends, went hiking, visited Minnesota & Wisconsin, took a Wilderness First Responder Course, read a lot of good books, went to a couple of concerts...

Thinking Maps are a visual way to help students learn and apply abstract concepts. They help you to organize your thoughts, make connections, and plan.

Put away materials, turn in any assignments or classwork, push in your chair, clean up your space, take all your things, and calmly exit the classroom

Take it home and finish it as homework. Then, make sure to turn it in the next day. If this becomes a habit, I will have to contact your family.
