Schedule a review with a mentor/master instructor. Learn and pass the desired physical skills. Send the grading rubric to the OIS project and obtain a new instructor certificate.
What does a participant need to do prior to taking an Oversight workshop?
They must have completed an OIS General, Intermediate, or Advanced workshop.
What must instructors evaluate to determine the participant's ability to meet the requirements of a workshop?
Participants must
attend the entire workshop in numerical succession.

What are the requirements to qualify for your solo review?
You must receive a proficient score on all modules and pass the physical skills at 90% before being recommended for a solo review.

What are elective skills?
Elective skills are physical techniques that are not required for instructors to know, unless they choose to add the skill to their repertoire.
What type of certification can a participant get when they take a family workshop?
This is not a certification. Participants get a record of completion.
What should you do if you deny a participants certification.
Tell the person, tell their employer (if known), email the OIS project.
How do you schedule a solo review?
Sheril will ensure you have met the minimum requirements and ask you for three possible workshop dates. The solo reviewer will then be assigned.
Can instructors teach concepts outside of the fundamental building blocks of OIS, within an OIS workshop?
No. That can affect your ability to maintain certification.
What physical skills can an Advanced Level instructor teach?
Trick question! Advanced is not an instructor level.
What are the pre-requisites for recertification workshops?
Must be certified for 4 consecutive years in OIS. This must be verified by the instructor.
Name 3 circumstances in which you can de-certify a participant?
Substantiated abuse, felony conviction, failing a background check, documented disregard or adherence to OIS and PBS principles, improper use of physical skills, failure to use reasonable response.
