We can find the presence of God in the tabernacle at church, in the Eucharist, in the face of another person, in prayer.
Whom does the Lord choose to lead the Israelites after Moses dies? (Numbers 27:18)
The Lord said to Moses, "Take Joshua son of Nun, a capable man and place your hands on his head. Have him stand in front of Eleazar the priest and the whole community, and there before them all proclaim him as your successor.

The Lord confused their language (speech) and scattered them.
Abraham is known for his great faith. What prayer is said during Mass that we remember Abraham "our father in faith"

How was God able to use the terrible situation of Joseph being sold into slavery as a way to save his family?
He gave Joseph the wisdom to handle the famine crisis and put him in the position of authority to solve the problem. God drew good out of an evil act.
What does the deliverance of the Israelites from slavery show us about what God also wants of each of us?
God offers freedom from sin in order to serve him with a thankful heart.
Why were the Israelites frightened when they felt God's presence in the lightning, thunder and smoke at Mount Sinai?
They were not sure that God was pleased with them. they did not know God. They realized God was very powerful and awesome. They had never experienced this before.
When the Israelites complained to Moses, what did that show about their relationship with God?
They did not trust God to help them, even though God had done many good things for them and brought them out of Egypt.
How do you suppose Rahab learned about the God of Abraham?
She heard others speaking about the mighty deeds of God, which made her want to serve God and turn from the gods of her country.
What happened in the Garden of Eden that affects us today?
Sin came into the world, and so we needed to be saved. Jesus Christ will come into the world to pay the penalty for sin.
How did Noah and his family show their trust in God?
They build the Ark even though everyone else laughed at them. They obeyed what God told them. They build an altar to thank God for his deliverance.
What did God tell Abram to count? Could he count them? (Genesis 15:5)
God told Abram to go outside and "look toward heaven, and count the stars. If you are able, "it would be very hard to count all the stars;even on a clear night. God said that's how many descendants Abram would have.
Why do you think Esau did not think his birthright was important and traded it for a bowl of stew?
He did not look to the future. He did not value what he had. Jacob realized the value of the birthright that belonged to Esau.
Are we given bread from heaven as the Isratelites received it in the desert? Where do we get it?
Eucharist. Jesus declares he is the bread from heaven. The Israelites understood that manna was a gift from God.
Why is it important that we follow the commandments that God gave to Moses?
The commandments show us how to love God and one another. They are the foundation of a free society. They show to us what is means to love.
How were Joshua and Caleb different from the other scouts?
They believed God could lead them. They had faith that God would continue to lead them as he already had done in leading them from Egypt.
What kind of leader was Joshua after Moses died?
He was brave. He trusted God. He led the people in the ways of God. He was obedient to God.
