Name and describe the TWO DIFFERENT levels of additional pay you may receive for passing a speaking and listening language exam in a threshold language.

Base Bilingual Enhancement ($0.50/hour or $1,000 annually) - Staff who receive this enhancement ONLY and do not qualify for the Direct Services Enhancement are not required or expected to perform their primary work tasks in a language other than English in their identified role. They may receive the Bilingual Hourly Stipend anytime they complete dual language work.

Direct Services Bilingual Enhancement ($2/hour or $6,000 annually) - Provided to staff who are fluent in an approved threshold language for their position/region AND are in a position where they are expected to regularly utilize their bilingual skills in the provision of services to clients and families. These staff will provide services to clients and families who speak the language in which they have been approved without additional language support for direct services.
