Scrub the intended venipuncture site with repeated back-and-forth strokes covering an approximate 3-inch by 3-inch area for at least thirty seconds.

Name 3 symptoms of hypotensive reactions?

Mild signs/symptoms include: Lightheadedness, dizziness. Cold extremities, chills/shivering. Pale, skin, or lips.  Feeling of warmth.  Sweaty, clammy. Weakness. Visual disturbance. Auditory disturbance. Abdominal cramps. Epigastric distress. Headache or neck ache. Nausea.  Palpitations. 

More severe reactions include any of the above plus any sign/symptom below: Vomiting. Convulsions/seizure.Drooling. Loss of consciousness (LOC).LOC approximately less than 60 seconds. LOC approximately 60 seconds or longer. Incontinence - loss of bladder or bowel control.  Chest pain.

As donor initial stick is performed donor complains of immediate intense pain at phlebotomy site and there is no bruising or sign of infiltration. What should you do next?
