An introduction must contain two things. What are these two things?
Hook, Thesis statement
What is the purpose of the concluding sentence?
To wrap up your paragraph, summarizing the argument and the supports.
What are the two parts needed in your conclusion?
Reworded thesis statement, closing statement.
What is the purpose of the hook?
To grab the readers attention
What is the purpose of the supporting sentences?
Provide evidence to support/ prove your argument
What is a closing statement?
A sentence that either calls for action/change, or a statement that encourages your opinion.

What does it mean to REWORD your thesis?
Using different vocabulary, you repeat your thesis statement/your opinion, using only 1 or two key words from your thesis.
