Line the paper up with the metal tab and make sure the paper is pushed into the hole punch as much as possible. Important so that all of our papers line up when they are put in our binder or duotang.

1.) Letters from one line don't run into letters of the line above or below it (ile. tall letters don't run into fishing letters). 2.) It leaves room for editing (i.e. adding in a word, changing a word). 3.) Makes it look more spaced apart (not so jammed together).
