Why is noticing roasting early important?
It stops the behavior from continuing or from someone's feelings to repeatedly get hurt.

Why can bystanders sometimes make roasting worse?
Their laughter or silence encourages the behavior to continue.
Why does roasting sometimes continue when many people laugh? Why does someone roast?
The roaster feels encouraged and they are trying to maintain power over others.

Can you describe the ripple effect of being a kindness detective based on the video we watched.
Kindness Detectives are important because they notice opportunities to start kindness. In the video, when one person helps or shows kindness to someone, that person often passes the kindness on to someone else. This creates a ripple effect where kindness spreads from person to person. By paying attention and choosing to act kindly, Kindness Detectives help start and continue that chain of kindness, making the whole school community more positive
A student hears roasting happening but isn’t sure if speaking up will help. Instead, they quietly check on the targeted student afterward and offer support.How could this still be considered upstander behavior, even though the student didn’t confront the roaster in the moment?
Because upstanders can support the targeted person and reduce harm, even if they don’t challenge the roaster directly.
