What changes occurred in the Hutchins GE courses to align with the new Fall 2025 GE pattern?
LIBS GE is now 3 courses instead of 4 (there is no more LIBS 202) and the LIBS courses meet different GE areas now.
SSU Students can now complete ALL lower division GE requirements (except Math and Ethnic Studies) in just 3 semesters by taking LIBS 101, LIBS 102, LIBS 201.
What should a student do if they are not going to pass their FLC?
Enroll in to a course in the same GE area that the FLC part A or B was giving credit for.
Ex. Student took UNIV 150B (A3/1B Critical Thinking), student gets less than a C-, student can enroll in PHIL 101 and use it as a repeat.
Repeat Course Form should be completed with FLC Dept Chair signature.

2. PSY 270 is now PSY 300
3. PSY 250 is NOT a pre-req for major courses. All non GE PSY courses just require declared major and sophomore standing.
4. Psych courses must now be passed with a C-, rather than a C, for major credit. Any Psych course available for a grade must be taken for a grade to be applied to the major requirements.
