Can donations of food or clothing be made today?
Yes, the donation station is open from 8 am - 4 pm.
Can donations of backpacks and/or school supplies be made day of PAB?
Yes, donations will be saved for next year or given to partner schools and agencies.
What should I do if I have volunteers?
Have a conversations with them. Ask them what brings them in to SHCS today? Share about your programs.

Is the welcome center open and have distribution of food?
Yes, both Tuesday and Thursday. Hours of operations will be from 9-4pm.
Can customers choose what goes into the backpacks?
No, the backpacks are pre-packed based on school requirements.
How many volunteers should our group expect?
Any where from 2-5 people. It will all depend on how many show-up

How come the whole organization is not supporting PAB?
Many people have supported the PAB event over the months. We would like to provide a few opportunities for SHCS staff to work and learn more about the impactful work we do together as a community and interact with volunteers.
How many children will receive backpacks through the Pack-a-Back program?
4,000 Children
What do I do if my volunteer did not show-up?
Please reach out to your lead and let them know. If your lead is not available, please reach out to Veronica, Mike, Maria
What is so different in SHCS Pack-a-back than any other giving backpacks?
The agency and power to choose!
Is the parking lot restricted in any way?
Yes, the parking lot will be close and only open for folks with disabilities and donation station drive-thru.
What options are available for disabled customers picking up backpacks?
They can wait in the regular line and choose their own backpack or wait in the tented area where a volunteer will shop for them.
Can volunteers take photos?
No, please let your volunteers know that to keep people's identity we cannot take any pictures
