False. The goal is not to talk you out of going. The on call nurse can make sure the emergency room staff knows your baseline, your medical history, and your medications. This saves you time and lets the emergency room be prepared to meet your needs. PACE may be able to offer an outpatient visit depending on your needs.

FALSE. This can wait until Monday. Remember all medications should be ordered at least 48 hours in advance. The reason is the pharmacy does not keep all medications in stock and we never want you to run out. The pharmacy is not open all hours, and we need to plan ahead as much as possible.

YES. please call us. Based on your medical history the nurse can recommend treatments, evaluate, and possibly send you for care in the setting most appropriate for you. The goal is to keep you healthy and safe.

PACE Is closed for which Holidays? There are seven.

New Years day, Christmas day, Easter, Labor day, Memorial Day, Independence day, and Thanksgiving day. if the holiday is on the weekend PACE is close the business day closest the Friday before or the Monday after. On call is available all day on these days for urgent needs.

I took my bedtime medications this am. Should I call the on call?

Yes, please let us know if you miss any medications and if you take them incorrectly. We can often change your medications to make them less confusing.

I am experiencing a new symptom, I have numbness in my arm and leg and I cant stand. Should I call the on call?

YEs. Please call. These would be concerning symptoms and may need evaluation in the ER. Anytime you have new symptoms that are impacting your ability to walk, stand, talk, or move you should call.

I have these medications that Caroline said I could take as needed. I am not sure if now is the right time to take them. Should I call the on call?

Yes, if you are unsure if a medication is appropriate for your current needs. Please call us.

The on call Staff can access any employee on the weekend to pass messages to them?
