What are Coping Skills?
Coping Skills are tools that we learn in order to manage strong emotions.
What is Self-Care?
Self-Care is taking care of ourselves regularly to help prevent high emotions. Self-care can look different for everyone.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is when you take time to slow down and be aware of what is going on around you. This can mean breathing, shifting your focus, or slowing things down.
What are some things that can make me have strong emotions?
This can be different for everyone!
When should we use coping skills?
When we have strong emotions and need to calm down! or when we feel strong emotions coming on!
When should you use self-care?
Regularly!
When should you use Mindfulness?
When I am feeling overwhelmed/ angry/ sad/ anxious/ etc.
When do I notice having these emotions.
Some people can notice them when they around certain people or when they are hungry or grumpy, etc.
What are some coping skills that you know of/if any?
Just seeing what we already know! :)
What is something you can do for yourself every day?
Examples:
Brush your teeth, make your bed, eat, play outside, etc.

Its okay to have ones that don't work for you, everyone is different!

Examples: Play outside, Play with friends, eat ice cream, etc.

Everyone is different and some people don't like slowing their minds down. It can be scary.
