Stay quiet and listen to what they have to say
3rd Step in Problem Solving
Pick a Solution
You come to school upset over your parents fighting at home, you go to the pals processing room after you check in with your teacher.
Expected
You feel like crying in the middle of class
Take deep breaths, ask to go on a walk, email your social worker, take a break
You don't like what is being taught
Interrupt, talk to your friend, ignore the teacher
The teacher is teaching
Be off your phone or computer. No sleeping
4th Step in problem solving
Implement the solution chosen
You don't want to listen to the teacher or social worker so you ignore them and go on your phone.
Unexpected
You are feeling overwhelmed with past trauma
Talk to the social worker, journal, take a break, take deep breaths
You are angry
Punch someone or throw something
Someone ask you a question
Answer the question, Do not say "why are you talking to me"
5th Step in Problem Solving
Evaluate the outcome
You get upset with your teacher, ESP or Social worker so you cuss at them.
Unexpected
You hate social work and don't want to participate
Social work is fun and no one ever feels this way...
or communicate with your social worker, take a deep breath, ask yourself why you are so against it
You are mad at your sister
Yell and take it out on your classmates or teacher
The class is in the middle of a good conversation
Listen and participate
