put authors last name and page # in parenthesis

Whats the point of a thesis statement?
its the main point your trying to prove in your essay
What does it mean?
turning the authors words into your own but still citing them since its their idea

What do you label it?
Works Cited, DO NOT italice and put it in the middle
Where does it go?
last sentence of the first paragraph
Do you cite it?
yes, just like you would for a quote or quote-nugget

1.) reimagine thesis 2.) reimagine each topic sentence 3.) final thought prevoker
What does your actual cited part look like?
Last name of author, first name. Name of book, italiced. Publisher, date of publication.
