Requires 1/8 of countries (minimum of 2) for a change to a resolution to be brought to the Council for reconsideration
What is Motion to Introduce an Amendment?
For informing the Chair that the state raising the point wishes to change their vote, only after substantive votes
What is Point of Reconsideration?
Type of informal debate allowed during a suspension of the rules wherein specified delegates may address delegate questions
What is a Q and A?
The Chair asks if there are any questions for the speaker. Questions are then directed to the Chair, who asks the speaker whether they accept the questions. Delegates may not make statements, only ask questions. This can clarify or challenge a speaker's argument.
