What are the Prayers of the Faithful?
We join the priest by praying the Church's prayer of praise & thanksgiving to God the Father: The Lord be with you. The people reply: And with your spirit. The Priest, raising his hands, continues: Lift up your hearts. The people: We lift them up to the Lord. The Priest, with hands extended, adds: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. The people: It is right and just.
What is the Preface (preff-iss)?
The priest breaks the host (which is consecrated) while we say, "Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world. Have Mercy on Us ... Grant us Peace."
What is The Breaking of the Bread?
After the priest blesses the congregation, we do this as he processes out of the church.

We receive the Body and Blood of Christ.

The priest asks us to bow our heads and pray for Gods blessings then blesses us.

The center of the Liturgy of the Word; comes from Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.
What is the Gospel?
The priest finishes the Eucharist Prayer: Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours, for ever and ever. The people acclaim: Amen.
What is the Doxology?
The priest says "Let us pray" He then says a prayer. We respond, "Amen."
What is the Prayer after Communion?
The priest or deacon sends us forth (he might say, "Go in peace, glorifying the Lord by your life.") We respond, "Thanks be to God." - We sing the closing song.
