The model of the sunset shows the sun getting smaller and disappearing. When the Earth rotates, we see the pattern of the sun appearing (sunrise) and disappearing (sunset). We only see the stars at night because the sun is too bright. The sun is the only star in our solar system and closest to us. Its brightness overwhelms the shine of other stars. During the day we only see the sun but when the sunsets we are able to see the stars outside of our solar system. / Solo vemos las estrellas de noche porque el sol es demasiado brillante.
