During a school field trip, Mrs. Dodds, Percy's pre-algebra teacher, revealed herself as a Fury/servant of Hades and attacked him. Percy then defeats her after Mr. Brunner tosses him a sword disguised as a pen.
What color is the Camp Half-Blood T-shirt?
Orange. Each shirt is orange with the Camp logo, required for every camper.
How does Percy find out who his father is, and who is he?
Percy''s father is Poseidon (God of the Sea). He finds this out when defeating the Minotaur and on his arrival to Camp Half-Blood, a glowing trident appeared above his head, displaying his connection to Poseidon.
Who rules the Underworld?
Hades, God of the dead. He's commonly blamed for bad events, even when not responsible.
What is Percy's sword called and how is it used?
His sword is named the Riptide (Anaklusmos). It's a Celestial Bronze weapon, only functional against Gods, monsters, and other magical beings. Its appearance is a ballpoint pen when not in use and can automatically return to Percy's pocket if lost.
Why/how did Percy's mom disappear?
When escaping the Minotaur, Percy, Sally Jackson (Percy's mother), and Grover reach Half-Blood Hill. right before they got there safely the Minotaur grabbed Sally and crushes her into golden light, sending her to the Underworld, which led to Percy to go on a mission.
What cabin does Percy stay in before he gets claimed?
Before getting claimed, Percy stays in Cabin 11, the Hermes Cabin.
Why does Zeus get angry at Percy?
Zeus accused Percy of stealing his Master Bolt, the Olympian weapon that was stole from him on winter solstice. Zeus had a bad view on Percy due to him and Poseidon being enemies.
How do Percy and his friends get into the Underworld?
They enter through DOA Recording Studios, a disguised entrance in Los Angeles. The initials in DOA standing for "Dead On Arrival".
What makes Luke's sword unique?
Lukes sword. Backbiter, Is unique because It is made up of both celestial Bronze and regular mortal steel. He can harm both demigods and mortals, differentiating from most magical weapons only affecting supernatural beings.

Medusa tried to lure Percy in by talking about his mother, which he nearly fell for before coming to his senses and defeating her.
Why doesn't Annabeth like Percy when they first encounter each other?
Annabeth, being the daughter of Athena, dislikes Percy due to Poseidon and Athena being enemies in mythology (Percy has a connection to Poseidon). She also thinks he is untrained and inexperienced compared to other demigods.

Percy uses Riptide to cut the ropes on Crusty's enchanted waterbeds, which were stretching people to death. Percy then tricks crusty into lying on a bed and uses a magic command "Ergo!" to trap him.
How does Percy and his friends escape the Gateway Arch?
Percy and his friends Annabeth and Grover get ambushed by Echidna and her pet Chimera at the St.Louis Arch and Percy gets badly injured. From 600 ft, he jumps into the Mississippi after being taunted by Echidna. Though expecting to drown, he discovers the water heals him and he can breathe underwater. Percy escapes alone while his friends escape separately and regroup later.

Percy made a deal to fight Ares in a duel on the Los Angeles Beach. If Percy would win, Ares would give him the Helm of Darkness (which belonged to Hades) and let him leave. If Percy lost, though, Ares would turn him into whatever he wanted.
