severe cough, bluish discoloration, trouble breathing
What are some complications?
ear infections, nose bleeds, pneumonia
What kind of patients are at greatest risk?
Aren't vaccinated, immunocompromised, severe asthma, infants
How do you treat Pertussis?
Antibiotics, oxygen, fluids
When is it safe to return to school?
What can you do to limit symptoms?
rest, drink plenty of fluids, cool-mist dehumidifier
What vaccine is used for prevention?
Tdap

Bordetella Pertussis
What stage do you find flu like symtpoms?
Catarrhal Stage
