A chapter guaranteeing a PNM a bid before bids are officially extended.

100

What does being "dropped" or "dropping" mean?

When a PNM is "dropped": She is no longer a part of the formal recruitment process

When a PNM is "dropping": the PNM is deciding to end her experience in the formal recruitment process. She must meet with the Dir of FSL or Pro Staff to complete this.

100

What does MRABA stand for?

Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement

200

True or False: Snapbids happen immediately after formal recruitment concludes?

False; Snapbids are a part of the formal recruitment process. The FSL Pro Staff are the ONLY ones who handle snapbidding

200

True or False: Rho Gammas should never bring up SIP to PNMs.

True; if they mention it, do a handoff to a pro staff member

200

True or False: Bid promising should be reported to Panhellenic.

True. Please keep in mind what IS bid promising. When the words "you have a bid" "we will see you on bid day" and "you will be a member of ______". That s a good indicator.

200

What terms do we prefer and expect you to use?

When a chapter "drops" a PNM= Released

When a PNM leaves the process= Withdrew

200

The PNM signs the MRABA in a 1:1 session with professionals who volunteer. The Rho Gamma DOES NOT see, sign, or help the PNM through the process of signing the MRABA.

300

Which process is used to fill the remaining chapter spots after rounds and before bidday?

Snap bidding

300

Why is SIP discouraged as a topic during recruitment?

To maintain fairness and prevent influence on decision-making.

300

Why is bid promising problematic?

It violates fairness and Panhellenic rules.

300

T or F: The Rho Gamma must be able to explain WHY a PNM got released

FALSE! Your responsibility is as followsI

If the PNM is released from the process as a whole

- Listen

-Make sure she is safe

If the PNM is released from her top choice

- Remind her that all chapters are great

- The rest of her chapters see something in her and want to continue to get to know her

-Sisterhood happens everywhere

300

When is the MRABA signed?

The PNM is expected to sign the MRABA after their last party of the Pref Round, and have until the evening (1 hour after the last party) to complete it.

400

When does COB officially occur?

Right after bids have been extended.

400

Give one example of how to respond neutrally if SIP comes up.

Thanks for sharing! I encourage you to thoroughly consider exploring all chapters to find the best fit. If you decide you still want to SIP, lets go chat with (Pro staff member)

400

Who can report bid promising?

By submitting an infraction, the following can report:

Chapter president

PHA officer in charge of recruitment

Rho Gamma

PNM

FSA

400

T or F: It's the Rho Gammas' responsibility to sit with a PNM who doesn't get a bid from her top house on Bid Night.

No! If a PNM that you have gets a bid, opens it, and isn't happy, go through these steps

1. Check in, and get her to a quiet place

2. Explain that there is a Bid Day celebration waiting for her, and she can decide if she'd like to go or not

***We are trying to avoid you getting caught in a spiral where the PNM is asking questions you can't answer, AND she has a place to go! The process WORKED! :)

400

If you sign the MRABA, can you go through COB in the same year?

No, if the MRABA is signed, and the PNM doesn't accept a bid, she cannot go through any recruitment process until the next academic year

500

Explain in one sentence the difference between COB and Snapbids.

COB occurs immediately AFTER the main recruitment period; Snapbids are used to fill leftover openings prior to bid day.

500

Explain how someone who decided to SIP would go about that

The PNM would sit with a member of the FSL Pro Staff (Dir, Coord) and fill out the MRABA, only listing one chapter. The PNM cannot SIP on the MRABA with anyone else besides a member of the FSL Pro Staff.

500

How do those who can report bid promising?

There is a formal process and form to report

500
How can a Rho Gamma best support a PNM who has been released from the process

- Active Listening

- Avoid trying to give answers.

-NOT using "it's a numbers game" INSTEAD use "yeah, this feeling of rejection is really hard, and I am here to sit with you through this."

-Have a RG, Council Member, or Pro Staff who isn't doing anything to walk her back to her Res Hall or wherever she would like to go.

-Check for ideas of self harm unsafety using "Do you feel that you will be safe when I leave you here?"

500

What does signing the MRABA mean?

By signing the MRABA, you are saying that the sororities you list on your sheet are the ones you are willing to accept a bid from.
