Partially Active Brother (name 3 requirements)

What is : 

  • For juniors and seniors who want to stay active but otherwise have course loads that would keep them from meeting requirements and otherwise make them inactive.
  • Members seeking Partially Active status must declare their intentions within the first or second or last two weeks of the semester by contacting the Corresponding Secretary with an explanation on why they wish to become Partially Active. Members of the executive board will then discuss and vote on the applicant at the next executive board meeting.
  • Must earn a total of 8 points to make requirements.
  • Partially Active members, in order to maintain their voting privileges in Initiation, must attend: all mandatory meet nights and recruitments and one (1) initiation points by final voting.
  • To participate in Final Voting, Partially Active brothers must have been interviewed by 80% of the Initiate Class.
  • Must only attend half of Chapter Meetings during a semester.

Fully Inactive Brother (name 3 requirements)

What is: 

  • Brothers who wish to become locally inactive must declare their intentions to the Corresponding Secretary with an explanation on why they wish to become Locally Inactive. The members of the Executive Board will then discuss and vote on the applicant at the next executive board meeting.
  • Locally Inactive status may only be granted for Members who have been fully active for two (2) semesters prior to the semester they wish to seek inactivity.
  • Locally inactive lasts for one (1) semester and a Members cannot seek this status again.
  • Inactive Members have a legal loss of voting privileges.
  • Shall no longer be required to attend meetings or participate in events.
  • Are required to pay National Dues by the date designated by the Treasurer or will lose their Locally Inactive status.
