 On the sidelines, Maya was seen kicking over cones in anger because Alexis received more playing time. Maya was use to playing during the entire game. This games was different because Alexis was scoring more points, even though Maya is a great defender and contributes to the team in other ways. Mayas was struggling with feeling left out and needed to learn how to communicate her feelings to her coach and teammates. Ultimately realizing that everyone has strengths and the team needs everyone to succeed Maya apologizes to everyone after the game.
